Privacy notice
This page tells you which data is processed when you visit this website, and why. There are no ads, no analytics services and no cookies on this site.
Who is responsible
The person named in the imprint above. Contact: the email address above.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data (such as your IP address, the time and the page requested) to Netlify's servers so the page can be delivered. Netlify processes this data on our behalf and may process it in the USA. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in running a secure website). Details: Netlify privacy policy.
Stored on your device
The site uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) for a few things that only help you:
- the last page you read, so you can continue later,
- your rating and vote, so the form shows what you picked,
- a random ID (like
3f9a…) so a new rating replaces your old one instead of counting twice.
You can delete this at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
Ratings and comments
If you send a rating, we store the stars, your answer about buying the printed book, your optional comment, the time and the random ID mentioned above. We do not store your name or IP address with it. Only totals are shown publicly; comments are never published. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our interest in deciding whether to print the book).
Reading progress
When you use the reader, we store how many times it was opened and the furthest page reached, together with the random ID. This shows us how far people read. It contains nothing about you. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Print notification (email)
If you sign up to be notified about the printed book, we store your email address and the time you signed up, and use it for exactly one purpose: to send you one email when the printed book is available. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to the email address above; your address is then deleted. All addresses are deleted once the notification has been sent, or after 12 months at the latest.
The data is stored with Netlify (see Hosting).
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
